Event Details

During this virtual class or in-person, expectant parents will explore the “Understanding Breastfeeding” Student Handbook which will be mailed to you. A Lactation Specialist will provide you with information about the benefits of breastfeeding, hands on demonstration of techniques for positioning your infant, how-to ensure nutritive latch, healthy milk production, pumping success, storing of human milk, as well as prevention and relief of common problems and a Q&A session. Your support person is encouraged to join us. You will be asked to use a doll or rolled blanket as your “baby” while practicing hands on exercises as the instructor walks you through the skills.

Also, you will be provided with access to an informative mobile app that will keep important information at your fingertips before and during your breastfeeding journey.

You must register online to secure your spot in class, one registration per couple. After which, we will email you an invitation to a Teams meeting or a detailed email for in person class date and time.

Please note the class may be canceled due to low enrollment. Please check your emails a day before the class.
